My work investigates and appreciates the intricate complexity of the industrialised square we inhabit. The architecture and infrastructure surrounding us have the potential to foster connections between people whose paths overlap, but paradoxically separate us in allocated spaces that become indelibly entwined with our identities. While imparting a heightened sense of insignificance, my work represents the delicate interconnectedness of the many lives that combine to keep our world ticking along. We live in close proximity to others but are more distant than ever, so I present the reality of countless lives synchronised in the orderly structure of our built environment.
