The ocean is for me a sanctuary, yet filled with mystery and danger. I use video to capture movement in super slow detail, and photographs to freeze single moments in minute hi-resolution to create a window into my world and a chance for the viewer to be transported to an unfamiliar place. Captured with a Canon 450 in an Ikelite water housing and a GoPro 3 camera, the work attempts to capture fine details that could normally be missed. It explores concepts such as birth, death and personal growth, but can also have many subjective interpretations.
