Jaiyan Anderson Moths and men
This series grew out of my interest in documenting the intentional community where I live. As I began to photograph this unique landscape an unintended theme emerged, one that produced more questions than answers. Currently in Australia there is an unspoken culture that men must hide their fragilities and individualities from their friends and sons. Moths are also creatures of camouflage. In these intimate photographs, showing both the fragility and strength of these men, my practice challenges this imposed space between them.
