Though pain is a fleeting moment, it leaves a legacy in its wake: the power to echo through eternity. Unhappy man! Do you share my madness? is a deeply introspective body of work that depicts the wrecking of oneself for success, achieving a paradoxical state of ‘in-between’ – succeeding yet almost shattering. By referencing the aesthetics and tropes of psychological thriller films I represent my descent to madness with fatalistic suspense. I invite my audience to consider the lengths to which they are willing to go for greatness. What do you call it – a triumph, or a tragedy?
