Concert Tex Perkins and Matt Walker
Tex Perkins has created music with some of this country’s most iconic bands, from the atmospheric landscape of the Dark Horses to the hard-edged rock of the Beasts of Bourbon, and the evocative soundscapes of the Cruel Sea, crafting a uniquely Australian yet wholly original sound.
For this concert, Tex reunites with respected musician, songwriter, producer and bandmate Matt Walker as a powerful duo. Their electric live show will feature songs spanning Tex’s vast catalogue and bring to life material they have written together for another project, a new album by Tex Perkins and the Fat Rubber Band.
Tex and Matt blend Tex’s gravelly baritone with raw harmonies, rhythmic nuances, and rich storytelling, creating a soul-stirring blend of existential blues.
Doors open at 6pm. Until 7.30pm, you are welcome to buy light refreshments from the Members Lounge and pop-up bar and enjoy a private exhibition viewing.
Seating will be unreserved and concert style.
